The Club at Porto Cima: The Private Jack Nicklaus signature course is the crown jewel of Lodge of the Four Seasons Owners Peter and Susan Brown’s Porto Cima development. As the only Jack Nicklaus signature course in Missouri this masterpiece has seven holes that play beside or over the lake. The Club is also home to the “Swing Institute” where PGA Golf Professionals use a Vector Launch Monitor and V1 Pro Digital Coaching to analyze your golf swing with the latest technology. It is difficult to single out one hole, but the home stretch of 15,16,17 &18 would challenge the best courses in the country for their finishing holes. 15, 16, &17 are nestled along the main channel and a beautiful cove and 18 finishes with a panoramic view of the clubhouse. Great photo opportunities abound as you make your way around the course nestled among the Ozark hills and woodlands, with beautiful homes overlooking several holes. The clubhouse and amenities are first class and the practice facility is beautiful. Avid golfers, like me, could spend hours on the practice tee hitting balls off the vast well manicured turf toward the green complexes strategically placed on the range. If you get an opportunity to play, don’t hesitate, it is well worth it. Jack Nicklaus said this about the layout, “On a scale of one to ten, this is as close to a ten-if there ever was a ten.”
